Background

I did not get any kind of funding whatsoever. I am a Ph.D. scholar at the University of Sarawak Malaysia. Forced by the circumstances, I had to compile the aforesaid corpus. I wish I had funding, I would have included Speech Mode in the corpus.

I have been working on another corpus by following the compilation frame of BE06 and AM06. The Informative Prose categories such as

• Reportage
• Editorials
• Reviews
• Skills and Hobbies
• Belles Lettres, Biographies, Essays
• Miscellaneous
• Learned Prose

are completed except for Popular Lore. It needs some financial resources which I hope I will manage. However, the Imaginative Prose subcategories are excluded due to the unavailability of funding.
