A Corpus of Women Scientists

The research project "Women and Scientific Discourse: Social context and variation in English (1700-1930)" has been designed with a two-fold purpose: to serve as a socio-historical database containing the lives and works of female writers of science, on the one hand, and to compile a corpus of prefaces to these works (PreWoS), on the other. This corpus is currently under construction.
